Cheetah's create consistent results because they are designed for speed. You too can create consistent results when you learn how to learn in ways that make you cheetah fast.

Cheetah’s create consistent results because they are designed for speed. You too can create consistent results when you learn how to learn in ways that make you cheetah fast.

Consistent experience creates consistent rewards. Creating increasing value for others creates even greater rewards. But this takes focused effort on improving how you can best be of value – especially as a Project Manager.

The challenge is mastering new skills. When you can efficiently implement new skills and create more measurable value, others notice. But you don’t just do this for other people – your reward is your passion for your work.

Learning Contemplation: Who do you value more: a doctor who recently graduated from med school or a doctor with 30 years of experience who stays on top of the latest research in their field? How does your preference with this example, apply in your career?

Example – I prefer an experienced doctor who stays on top of the latest research in their career.  I am a life long learner; I attend conferences, take and create courses and read books on the cutting edge research regarding the brain and learning. Additionally, I see challenges with projects as opportunities for growth and learning. All of this does create more value for others and I have great job security. What is more important, though, is it helps me stay engaged and excited in a field where I have devoted my life’s work to do what I love.

For people who become Project Management Professionals, the industry insures they stay current wtih their skills by requiring them to earn 60 professional development units every three years.  They can do this by taking 60 hours of approved project management training.  To help all the Project Management Professionals who follow my blog – we have an offer for you today to help you stay consistent with your project management skills.

Learning how to leverage your skills the best way for you can significantly enhance your career opportunities.

Learning how to leverage your skills the best way for you can significantly enhance your career opportunities.

For this month, we’re helping people stimulate their learning.  Every day, we are highlighting some learning element of one of our many Cheetah courses, with a learning contemplation for you to consider.  Each day is a different course, with a special promotional price for that course for the first ten people who register.

Project Management Career Builder

Everyday you see the one person who is responsible for the success or failure of your career.  That one person is the one who smiles back at you in the mirror.  Yes, you.  When you commit to Project YOU – you commit to making the most of your career.   This is not a someday thing – this is an everyday thing.  When you learn how to take focused, effective actions, every day, aligned with what drives you, what is important to you, what best leverages who you are,  then you start to experience the career results you desire.  Creating a thriving career is not luck – it happens when you do the right things the right way at the right times – for YOU.

Learning Contemplation –  List three new ways you find fulfillment in life then you did five years ago.

Example –  I now have time to work on more complex woodworking projects in my free time since my kids have graduated from college and have started their careers.   I enjoy eating healthier foods and have gotten better at finding healthy food choices.  I’m better at confronting people in a kind and compassionate way and don’t need to shy away from engaging with people who in the past I would avoid when I felt they were difficult.
