Jan 19 – Do You Finish What You Start?
Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day
Jan 19 – Create a habit of achieving your goals. Set a small goal every day you can achieve and expand from there to a goal you can accomplish in a week, one you can accomplish in a month, one you can accomplish in a quarter, and one you can accomplish in a year. Then, achieving goals becomes your habit.

One of the most disheartening things to see is people who have lost their ability to dream. Yet it can happen to the best of us. While the causes may be many, one of these can be not completing goals. Why even start when you don’t think you will finish? If this even remotely resonates with you, there is hope. And if you want to prevent it from happening to you, read on.
Completing goals can become your habit. Like any new habit, it takes deliberate practice of key skills. Start by setting a small goal every day you know you can finish. If you like to create long to-do lists – stop that. Create a to do list with your one, most important task of the day. Put it on a small post-it note and put it on your fridge or some place you can see this. Make it your top priority to complete that task. Do this again, tomorrow, and for the next 21 days. Even if it seems like it’s getting too simple. Focus on finishing your one, most important task every single day. At the end of 21 days, celebrate; you have just finished your first three-week goal – to do this every single day.
Perception is the foundation of finishing your goals. Research shows people who believe they are healthy are more healthy and people who believe they have better relationships, have better relationships. The purpose of finishing your small goals is to start to create your perceptions you are someone who achieves your goals. This will open you up to dreaming again as you will start to believe yes, I can do what I need to do to finish my goals to go for it. Learn more at www.cheetahcertifiedpm.com.
