April 10 – Learning to Achieve Goals

Friday, April 10th, 2015

CL_4-10-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 10 – Having a goal, and enduring the pain and failure to reach that goal, teaches you how to achieve goals. It doesn’t matter what the goal is. What matters is that you have the goal, you work hard to achieve the goal, and you learn you have it in you to achieve your goals. This sets you up for going for that next big thing in your life.

April 9 – Assess the Facts

Thursday, April 9th, 2015

CL_4-9-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 9 – How do you assess the dangers in your life? Do you listen to what the mass media tells you is going on? Do you take the time to study all the facts surrounding what keeps you up at night? Become conscious of why you worry about what you worry about.

April 8 – Living Your Values

Wednesday, April 8th, 2015

CL_4-8-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 8 – The path to happiness is to live in alignment with your values. Your values are what you would like people to say about you at your funeral. For example, someone whose value is to be a good family person, yet spends all their time away from their family, is going to be conflicted and in turmoil. Only you can decide your real values and how to live those values.

April 7 – The World Needs More Light

Tuesday, April 7th, 2015

CL_4-7-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 7 – Go into the darkest room you can find. Light a very small candle. See how well it lights up the room. The same is true with very small acts of kindness in environments where people are very hurt, angry, sad, and mad (and just very dark in general). Practice consistent acts of kindness. The world needs more light.

April 6 – Taking Responsibility

Monday, April 6th, 2015

CL_4-6-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 6 – When things stop going your way, just stop. Figure out what is truly important in your life for YOU and focus on that. Don’t blame others for your woes, as they aren’t living your life. Don’t look for others to solve your problems, either. The surest way to create long-term, enduring happiness is to take responsibility for your own life and solve your own problems.

April 5 – Assume Positive Intentions

Sunday, April 5th, 2015

CL_4-5-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 5 – People tend to judge themselves by their intentions but others by their behavior. Think about your own intentions. How often do you intentionally act to hurt another? For most of us, that is not part of our general make up. Most of us think of ourselves as kind, friendly souls. Extend the same thinking to others. Understand others’ positive intentions.

April 4 – Follow Your Moral Compass

Saturday, April 4th, 2015

CL_4-4-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 4 – Developing an internal moral compass that guides you in the right things to do in life regardless of what others are doing around you can free up your mind to work on more creative endeavors. It’s never too late to start treating others with kindness, respect, and compassion, regardless of how you perceive their actions towards you and others.

April 3 – Body and Mind

Friday, April 3rd, 2015

CL_4-3-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 3 – How you take care of your body impacts how well your mind works. When you feel yourself getting upset, think back to what you have consumed over the last several hours or days. Eating a high protein and complex carb-type diet paired with regular exercise improves mental performance. Stay away from sweets, eat your vegetables, eliminate caffeine, and exercise at least half an hour every day.

April 2 – Just Fix It!

Thursday, April 2nd, 2015

CL_4-2-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 2 – Little problems happen on a daily basis (car battery dies, shower takes too long to warm up, etc.). When you let these little annoyances stress you out, you disempower yourself. Before getting anxious, STOP. Think about what you can do to fix the problem, then just FIX IT, and move on. The more you focus on what you can do to fix it, the more powerful you become.

April 1 – Let Go of Grudges

Wednesday, April 1st, 2015

CL_4-1-2015Cheetah Certified Project Manager (CCPM) Tip of the Day

April 1 – Throughout our lives we interact with all types of people, some for a day, some for years. Some may leave our lives under less than favorable conditions. Remember the good times, forgive yourself and them for the transgressions that came to end the relationship, and move on. Holding onto grudges slows you down with achieving your goals.
